The Recruitment ProcessLocum:When Locum Registrations are taken, GOC qualification and Health Authority Registration are ascertained. We also ascertain which companies these locums have worked for before, and obtain references where possible. Sophie oversees the locum activity, she is supported by Kylie and Bonita when demand requires it. The team review regularly updates the availability of all the Locums. The team are responsible for the fulfilment of customer requirements, including regular monitoring and reviews. Forward booking checks are completed on a weekly basis for all booked Locums. The team are responsible for reporting back to clients regarding any outstanding gaps and issuing forward booking reports for their individual areas. Confirmations of bookings each list: Locum name, test time, ability to do Contact Lenses, dates booked, and fees. These can be either faxed, emailed or posted, at the client's request. Constant monitoring of Locum performance and feedback received, and relevant action(s) undertaken. Permanent: A full registration of each candidate is taken over the telephone, including detailed CV, reasons for seeking new employment, Long Term career aspirations, personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, immediate career aspirations in terms of the type of company they wish to work for, and the role(s) they wish to be placed in. Each consultant conducts regular updates with their candidates, covering any changes in their circumstances and availability. Each consultant is responsible for managing the vacancies they have obtained from clients. A full job description and person specification is taken at this point, including any further information that will assist the Consultant in accurately portraying the vacancy and the client company to candidates. As soon as the vacancy is obtained, the consultant will carry out an initial database search and identify suitable candidates. Each suitable vacancy is discussed in depth with the applicant, and the CVs are then forwarded to each client for the positions the candidate wishes to apply for, with any supporting information gathered during the initial registration process and subsequent contact with the candidate. If there are no suitable candidates at that stage, the Consultant will inform the client, and advertise the vacancy. Each Consultant is responsible for regularly reviewing vacancies and reporting back to clients, according to the individual agreements in place with each client. Each consultant fully manages the interview process on behalf of the client, negotiating suitable dates and times between both parties, and obtaining and reporting of feedback from and to both parties. Where an offer is made, the Consultants are responsible for managing the negotiation process, and assisting the candidate with the resignation process, thus avoiding any issues arising between the offer stage and the candidate taking up their new employment. On the day that the candidate takes up their new employment, the Consultant who has dealt with the placement will call the branch to ensure the candidate has arrived safely to start their employment. The Consultant also obtains feedback from the client and the candidate one week and then one month after the candidate has taken up their new employment, and is available for feedback or assistance at any stage.
